CAA PPL to FAA PPL

Hi everyone, I'm (UK) CAA PPL holder and want to apply for FAA PPL before I go to America in June. I'm not sure how to do this, as far as I'm concerned I need to fill in CAA SRG1160 and SRG1187 forms and send them to FAA with FAA " Verification of Authenticity of Foreign License, Rating, and Medical Certification" form. Could someone guide me through?

start by reading the stickies and using the search function. Your question has been covered many times over on here !

Also you are posting a ppl question in the professional section, have a look in private flying....
