CAA paperwork
I'm in the process of completing the form SRG 1183a for the issue of my CPL.
I read on that form that "Any flight entries recorded within a pilot log, for the same date as PIC and Dual will only be accountable as Dual flight for licensing purposes."
I don't understand the rationale, I'm not even sure to understand what it means.
Does it mean that my first solo flight would not count as PIC for licensing purpose, because I made a dual flight just before?

Under EASA rules, you can only have one PIC. If an instructor is giving instructing and you log Dual Received, the instructor logs Dual Given and PIC.
The biggest issue here is when pilots have done training outside of Europe, for example in the USA. Under FAA rules, if you are qualified on the aircraft category and class (and type if applicable), you can log PIC and Dual Received. These pilots must recalculate their totals in their logbook to reflect the correct rules.
