Snap,
Try British Airways at Cranebank. They are about the same price as Firex for fire/smoke/wet and the facilities are as you might expect from BA.
Louise Murray on 0208 562 9967.
Canteen's cheap and it's a good day out.

I'v just completed a first aid course with the St Andrew's Ambulance Association up here in Edinburgh and although it was not specifically for aviation it'll probably be as good as any other you can get. It cost £40 and was 12 weeks with 2 1/2 hours each tuesday. Try the st' johns ambulance if you're in england. It's a good course and is a good laugh too.
