MCC in the UK

I had a query regarding the MCC. I currently have an FAA IR and was wondering if this can be used to start an MCC in the UK or would I have to do an EASA IR conversion first? Thanks in advance

Any ICAO state issued IR should be accepted by the ATO. Under Part FCL the defined requirements prior to MCC are somewhat lacking!
