Talking PPL Holder To Commercial Pilot ?

Hi,Im currently a Trainee PPL Student @ Leeds Bradford International Airport. At just 14 im one of the younger students although am competent at circuits and soon moving onto navigation & land away flights. I was wondering if the Holding of a full Valid PPL would give me a distinct advantage when it comes to the transition into Commercial flight at 18 and Applications for either Aer Lingus or British Airways Training Schemes? Also how would i go the instructor route & After my PPL what qualifications & Flying experience/ratings would i need to become an instructor, Also how many extra hours would this take etc. Many Thanks for all your help! Yours, Simon Meston
