ATPL Abroad

Hi all,

I'm just looking for a little advice regarding my ATPL.

I'm an Australian citizen, and I'm considering traveling to Italy for 3 years to get my ATPL (modular/integrated ill decide - that's a topic done to death!).

My reasoning behind this is I am eligible for Italian citizenship after a stay of 3 years, therefore not only will I have gained employment eligibility in Europe but also JAA licensing at the same time.

I was then going to come back to Australia and do a conversion to CASA standards, just so I have opportunity for both sides of the fence.

This seems like a good idea to me, but I really do need some advice from people who are, or have been in the industry for me to make an at least somewhat educated decision.

Thanks

Luke
