What does AAU stand for?

"A good lookout should be maintained, particularly in congested areas. Altitude clearances should be verbally cross-checked by both pilots and recorded on the AAU as they are received."

Could anyone tell me what AAU stands for in this context, i do remember seeing this before i just can't get it from the back of my head what it stood for?
