BCFT ATPL full time groundschool
Hi everyone,
I'm currently looking at the different options of the full time ground school in the UK and I've narrowed it down between OAA and BCFT.
BCFT is quite a bit cheaper than OAA so i was wondering if anyone had been and done their groundschool here and have any comments or recommendations?
Thanks

BCFT ATPL's
Hi,
I don't have any experience with BCFT on the groundschool side of things, (I did my ATPL's at Cabair in Bournemouth before they went into administration) but I have finished my flying (CPL/MEP/IR) at BCFT and have been very impressed. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I know a lot of people on the ground school who all say it is very good. A few of the former Cabair ground school instructors now instruct at BCFT, mainly for the university course, but both the ex-Cabair and the BCFT ground instructors I have met are all very nice and very knowledgeable guys! Bournemouth is a nice little town too, not always a huge amount to do in the winter/poor weather, but the nightlife is great and the beaches are nice in the summer too!

Accomodation
For those of you that don't have accomodation sorted, BCFT do have a list of accommodation in the local area from B&b's and hotels to renting a room in family home, which a lot of people, including myself, seem to do. Might be worth getting in touch with Gemma or Amy on ops to get them to send you a copy via e-mail or something.

Hi guys,
I will be part of the January class! I am going to start looking for accommodation in the coming days. I am interested in sharing an apt with another student.
I was thinking, because of the frequent turnover, every 3 months, of BCFT student, there must be some opportunities out there. I will contact Gemma to get that list.

My housemate did his groundschool at BCFT and had a great time. Pass rate very good, all instructors happy to go out their way to help extra etc etc.
Bournemouth is a great city, he lived in Southbourne...

There are various threads on here about BCFT already.
I did my groundschool there and the guys were very good, especially if Phil "5 Euro Answer" Lucas is still there with his dodgy scirocco as CGI.
Now flying all over the world and still using stuff we learnt there.
I think for the groundschool you could do a lot worse

Hi Henricho,
I was due to start on the January and also have had to put back to the March course.
Are you aware that BCFT have purchased a28 room hotel for students. Prices are from £90 to £125 a week (I believe) for bed and breakfast.
Would you be planning on using this accommodation?

Hi everyone,
Thanks for all your responces. I have decided that i will be enrolling on the BCFT course. I will be unable to make the March course but I believe the one after that is May which I'll hopefully be on. Anybody else looking at this? And i'll more than probably be in their accommodation.
Thanks
