Exclamation Dream Job?

Hello, this is my first post and I am open for any and all advise I can get.

As I was sitting on the beach the other night I decided to take a big step and do something I want to do instead of just going for the money. I'm 33 and have always been facintated with flight (mainly helicopters). Being in Tampa I can see many benefits of becoming a pilot.

I have a good job but it is high stress and terrible late weekend hours. It pays decent at 45K and I would be happy to learn to fly and equal that pay. Can this be done in a relatively short time? Can it be done flying Helicopters?

Helicopters or airplanes?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Steve

It will take you a long time, it is very hard work and it will be very expensive. But it will be worth every second and every penny (or dime). There is no better view from the office window.
Cheers DB6

Thanks DB6... I'm very fired up about it and now have to decide on a good training school here in Tampa.

Tidelwave,

I'm going to have to agree with DB6, you'll never know how good it is until you give it a shot. You also don't want to think what might have been! I say go for it!

I was having this conversation with my instructor yesterday. 3000 feet up on a sunny afternoon, I had to agree with him
