IR SE ON A VALIDATED PPL

can someone teel me if it is possible to add IR SE on my JAA PPL in another ICAO country,I MEAN SINCE IR is a rating can i add it to a validated license not the original jaa license as to avoid conversion of ppl.thanks.

As far as Europe is concerned, I am not sure about the details but adding a JAA IR to a JAA license from another member state should not be a problem.

As far as the USA is concerned;

Apply for the validation license and yes you can add a US instrument rating to it no problem.
