Type Rating on Australian Licence
Hi all,
I have a CASA CPL/ME-CIR (the IR will expire on 31st of may 2012)
I am starting the b1900 TR in South Africa tomorrow.
Now for the requirements to endorse it on my CASA licence all is good.
But there is the form 209. (check it: Civil Aviation Safety Authority - CASA Industry Complaints Commissioner) It says to write in the licence number and info about it.
Does it mean I have to validate or convert to South African licence before starting the TR? or no need at all ?
Please if anyone did this before please tell me exactly.

No, I don't believe so. Those blanks are for those who already have an SA licence.
You can endorse your TR directly on your CASA FCL by presenting to CASA your logbook entries and FTO training records. However, you should check with CASA that they recognise TRs issued by the SA FTO before you commit yourself on the course.
