Anyone know if this is approved for use in the US ATPL exam?

Yes. At least the Sporty's E6B is authorized for use during FAA, Canadian and German exams. They'll just clear the memory of it before you start by pulling the batteries out.

Thanks Sammy, I am studying for ATP now and actually haven't come across any questions that would need the specific use of a E6B yet!
