Logbook Differrences

Need some clarification on logbook differences. The CAP 407 has a column for IFR time as does the JAR FCL logbook... Is this flight under Instrument Flight Rules or Actual/Simulated IMC?

Other logbooks have separate columns for Actual IMC and Simulated IMC...like Jeppesen.

Any help/suggestions appreciated.

With Jar log books you only have to log instrument flight rules time.

BUt there are several requiments for licenses and ratings which require instrument time ie when your flying the thing with sole reference to instruments.

Most just use an additional space to record instrument time or just make something up when they ask for it.
