I'd recommend the following path:

Do the theoretical part in Switzerland, there's a school in Zurich which offers a special conversion course requiring no classroom time (see link below):

Distant ATPL Academy - Special Conversion Offer

For the practical part I'd recommend Poland since you can do the flying for half the price, as compared to Germany, Austria or Switzerland. Just do a little research on the forum.

Good luck

I am considering Horizon SFA for my ATPL distance learning because I like the idea of not having to travel (from overseas) to brush-up courses. And their conversion course Special Conversion Offer Courses - Horizon SFA looks pretty good!

Has anyone studied with them and can give some feedback, please?

i like your motivation but have you checked out the LBA rules on conversions?

my information is a year old but as far as i know they require a lot of flight hours just to re-do your licenses (is it just CPL or also IR for you? i had checked for combination of both at the time).
so its not only the cost of other countries that is more attractive, its hour requirements to fulfil it...
best of luck

I can recommend Cranfield Aviation in Germany. They charge 1980euro for the full ground school.
