TST rating under Part FCL
Hi,
just a short question about FCL.820 Flight test rating. In Part FCL is entry requirement:
"completed at least 1 000 hours of flight time in the appropriate aircraft category, of which at least 400 hours as PIC"
What does it exactly mean - appropriate aircraft category? For example, if I want TST on SE turboprops, I need 1000 hrs on SE turboprops, or on SE at all, or airplanes under 5700kg or CS23?? Or they mean category as 1-4 cat of flight testing?
What kind of category author intend?

From JAR-FCL 1"definitions"...
Aircraft category: classification of aircraft according to specified basic characteristics, e.g. aeroplane, helicopter, glider, free balloon.
JAR-FCL 1 notes that this is an identical definition to that in ICAO Annex 1.
