Instrument Rating Renewal
Hi guys,
I am renewing my IR soon, it hasn't expired yet so will just be in the sim this time.
Just wondering what documentation I need to post to the CAA at Gatwick in order to get it renewed? I presume payment form, flight test completion form and rating page from licence?
Please let me know if i'm missing anything

If your IR hasn't expired why do you want to 'renew' it? In any case, you can only do a 'renewal' in an aeroplane or a full flight simulator. Perhaps you mean revalidating.

Yep, I meant revalidating sorry, always get the two mixed up. Had the initial last year, now is time for the first revalidation.

The examiner on the day should complete the paperwork and sign the ratings page in your licence. Theres no test fee to the CAA, just an examiners fee for his/her services for the day. Different examiners charge different rates. Thats about it really, all very straight forward.
