Get yourself in the car and up the motorway to Coventry. Peter Lines of ATA taught me more about Nav and Met in a week then Oxford could in 6 months.
If the courses are booked up maybe he would be interested in private tuition.
I don't have his number but ATA are bound to advertise in the popular aviation press.
Good Luck Rupert. Don't give up, all the hard work will be worth it.

I am available to give private tuition, and I live in Bournemouth. At the moment I am teaching individual students navigation, radio navigation, meteorology and principles of flight, along with small amounts of other subjects.
I was employed before their fall by SFT teaching general nav. Before that I sat all the JAA ATPL exams, so my former chief ground instructor is willing to recommend my skills teaching any of the ground subjects, and I am familiar with all the syllabuses.
If you are interested please contact me at [email protected] .
