Aptitude Tests

Hey everyone,
I've been thinking about taking the plunge into commercial flying for about a year now. I have already taken two discovery flights and I want this bad... BUT,
I do not want to go for it if it will be a dead end. That is why I am interested in some of the Aptitude Screening tests that are available in Europe for aspiring commercial pilots. I know that ultimately "It all starts with a dream", but considering that competition is fierce I want to know how I'd really fare. I have been researching these exams online and yes I know many of these exams are given at testing centers, but I live all the way in Hawaii.

Are there any REAL aptitude tests I can take online? Of course I am willing to pay for them. I'd just like to really know whether or not I should I go for this, or spend $70,000 + on something else.

Thanks Ryan,
Did you take the test online or did you take it at a testing center? It seems that the IPAS test on the EPST website isn't working.

Thanks!

I took it on the website, it seems that the IPAS test is a loud of "tosh" compared to the widely used PILAPT test which some training centres use. So I wouldn't take your results so seriously.

4250 points here, in the good margin as well, although I didn't know how to introduce decimal numbers...

I think the ball game and the memory game are quite hard, although the other 3 are quite quite simple (even though on the last one I couldn't see the red squares flashing because some of them were out of my screen...).

I tried it again today (Doing the test every day till the 14th when I have my CTC phase 2) and got 5833 which is still in the good margin, I'm guessing 6000+ would be classed as excellent. On the memory test I find it useful to make sounds out of the letters. e.g 1 E F R 4 3 X (ONE EFER FOUR THREE EX). Haha, that sounds stupid, but it works for me.

I have a job already where memorising numbers is essential, try breaking it up into chunks sometimes theres blatent words that unless looking for them appear to just be letters which makes it easier. But damn your score has gone up considerably well done mate!

He means on the Math part of the test where you type in the numbers in the answer box. It doesn't allow decimal numbers.

Yeah I know, so if you need 330.7KG of Jet A1 fuel exactly, you'd need 331KG.
