CPL IR Cost Comparisons
These might be of interest for future ref - current all inclusive costs (including CAA fees, hire for test, landing & approach fees and fuel surcharges) for CPL MEP IR training for a number of modular course providers:
'Local' CPL & MEIR at Aerodynamics Malaga £18000
Stapleford £23500
Tayside £24000
Bonus Aviation & PAT £25000
FTE Jerez £26000
CTC Take-off £25000-28000 depending on NZ or UK training
Multiflight £27000
Oxford Waypoint £33000
For comparison costs assume min hours and without getting too complex, over run costs should be considered (for example Bonus have some of the most costly hourly rates). Only further variable should be accommodation if/where required. Hope this is of help - maybe anyone who has recent experience could compare with actual spend.

The figures I used were CPL £5620, CPL test fees £1200, MEP £2300, MEP test fees £549, IR £11100, IR test fees £1400, landing/approach fees £1200, fuel surcharges £400. The approach fees and fuel surcharges may be wrong though as some stated them I added them across the board to be conservative. Comes to £23769, though you're correct, if there is a package discount then £22-23k may be closer.

Did you add the same fees to Aerodynamics Malaga? Because their quoted price includes all fees and when I was there (albeit on a different course), I didn't pay 1 cent more than the quoted price.

Ok cool. Aerodynamics Malaga's price DOES include all approach fees, landing fees, testing fees, test hire, and fuel charges.

Or Alternatively Bristol Aviation (CPL/ME/IR):
CPL first £23880 Including aircraft hire for test and CAA exam fees
IR First £22775 Including aircraft hire for test and CAA exam fees
Current offer 5 free sim hours for full CPL/ME/IR course booked saving £850 off either of the above price. (Price quoted for minimum hours).
No hidden extras!
And more importantly currently no fuel surcharge!

Sorry to be boring here.
If you are quoting all inclusive fees, please include the A/C type? Include the same over-runs for the Spain school?
I have no desire to be a Pilot, and your post seems to me at best misleading.
You did indeed say your quoted prices were all inclusive, and over-runs should be considered, but at what rate? Have you actual A/C type per school? / Cost per hour?
Any overrun, should be based on extra flying time, fuel burnt and then fees, should it not, for each case?
You all will be coming into commercial aviation?

Aerodynamics Malaga uses a BE-76 Duchess (they have 3) and a simulator which I think is an ALSIM 200, they get most students finished in the minimums. You may overrun by 12 minutes or so but they don´t charge extra for that. Normally, you only pay extra for overrun of a course if you fail your checkride and require additional training. My experience was that I had no overrun with them and I paid exactly what I was quoted and not a penny more. A search through this forum will find that many have the same experience as mine with Aerodynamics Malaga.

boredcounter - this site never ceases to amaze me how it dredges up replies like yours - especially from people who have no desire to be a pliot??!!. My info is simply that - there to help. If you want to add costs for over runs then get off your backside and find the figures from the respective schools. As I said - I have no intention to overcomplicate and the baseline figures are there for a useful reference before people start visiting schools.
