Malaysian ATPL to JAA
Hello All
As of last year as part of the Malaysian fATPL candidates are required to pass all 14 JAA ATPL exams, then do the required hours and pass a flight test with a Malaysian dca examiner
My question is where does this put you in relation to a JAA license?
Ie can you use your JAA theory in (ur) Malaysian license towards a JAA license and just do a JAA flight test? Does it count towards anything?
Did a search whuch was unfruitful
Thanks in advance

Nope they have to be sat with the authority that you are wanting the lic from.
Although the exams are based on and no doudt the questions have been purchased from JAR they still are local exams and have nothing to do with any JAR state.

Thanks for the answer.
Rather disheartening tho as I will be doing all my JaA papers here and will have to do them all over again should I wish to get a JAA license.
