FAA ATP Written - 135 vs 121 ??

Scheduled for written prep & test at ATP flight school.
they prepare you only for the part 121, and i understand that the part 135 test has less study to do..
can some one tell me what is the rationality in learning more to achieve the same goal..? is it significantly more stuff to learn then the 135?
maybe its better to by a book and learn by my self for the 135 test..?

would like your opinion..
Regards
Avi

The 121 test is for those who have been flying at a regional airline or other 121 operator, because they will be more familiar with the questions directed towards 121 ops. 135 exam is for those who have been flying at a part 135 operator. That is the rationale.
