Air Law for the US

I'm off to the US for some flying and can anyone recommend any good air law books or anything else to help me get a heads up before I head out there?

Current Federal Air Regulations/Aeronautical Information Manual (FAR/AIM).
Read Part 91 of the FARs since that is what you will be flying under. Most rules are similar and common sense.

You could check the AIP (available on the FAA's website). Section GEN 1.7 lists the differences from ICAO SARPS and PANS.

In case of the USA however, it would have been wiser to publish only the rules they comply with.
