Is it ok that I wear glasses?

Hi, you probably get this all the time but is it ok that I wear glasses for long distance vision. My eyes are perfect when looking at books etc. but for driving and reading signs form long distances I use my glasses. Is this ok? Will this hinder my chances on getting my commercial pilot licence?

I wouldn't have thought glasses are a problem, my friend passed his class 1 and he has highly corrective glasses.

Here is a link to the CAA's visual standards. Not sure where abouts in Ireland you are, so you might have different reg's but I doubt they will be much different:
