I have no experience with pro pilot, and I used Bristol 100% of the way, but out f curiosity I checked out their website and couldn't help noticing that the guy who developed the Bristol online question bank website now works for propilot.

Cheap ATPL Modular Outside the UK
Hey guys,
Any advice on an ATPL modular outside the UK? Also some more questions:
1. Can the theoretical and flight tests be done in separate countries?
2. can the exams be written in English with non English speaking countries?
Waiting to hear from you guys

phartpilot, in Latvia, where I'm living, you can take the exams without any problems. One thing what you need - official paper from your groundschool (in foreign country) about your study. All exams in English of course. In Lithuania and Estonia the same.

Really Confused
Metlik,
Thanks very much...your adviice will go a long way in helping me decide. Guys, here are two scenarios for clarification:
Case 1
Lets say I take my theoretical exams in UK. Can I do the flight test in France and send in details of my checkride in France to the UK CAA for issuance of the License?
Case 2
I do my theoretical exams in the UK and checkride in France. Can I take the theoretcal exam results from the UK and apply for my License in France?
And the Lasors aint doing me any good! I think I am about to make a blunder here
. I need some experience on how these things work.
Cheers guys....

Phartpilot, I think case 1 is a no go but you would have to ask the UK CAA licensing.
Case 2 is a yes, I have a friend who is doing case 2 but he had to fill out a form and pay a fee to get the French DGAC to accept his UK exams, but he asked in advance. It looks like it is getting easier to get countries to accept other countries' theory exam results.

Almost everyone commenting here (myself included) with have experience with only one school (the one they went with), and most seem to have a positive experience, so most posts are going to be along the lines of 'I went with School X, they were good because...'
Personally, I went with CATS, it took 9 months part-time (finished last month), and I achieved 14 first time passes with a 94% average. The instructors were knowledgeable and relaxed, the price is spot on, and the flexibility to chop and change subjects really suited my approach to the exams.
If I had spent £1000 more on 'School X' I would have taken about 9 months to complete and I would have (I hope) passed my exams first time with something around a 94% average (+/- 2%). I suspect I would have been happy with the result and considered the £1000 extra to be money well spent.
All of the schools know their stuff, the key factors in passing your exams will be to do with you (aptitude, motivation etc...), not the school.
Good luck,
