Post BA CEP Hold Pool-Any Info/Rumours????

Hi there,

Would like to know if there are any fellow members of the BA CEP hold pool, who have heard any news/rumours regarding our position? Or any other kind individuals willing to shed some light on the subject????

Heard in the News forum that some candidates in the DEP have a potential green light.

Does anyone have a reasonable estimate of just how many there are of us CEP's (Holding & Training)??

Any relevant info would be appreciated.

Cant offer any new info chaps, but just to clarify there are currently 36 DEP's held between interview and sim, and 19 between sim and medical. Total 55.

Good luck.

Speedbird 2946,

I think VORDME was talking about the cadets who were just about to start their CEP courses before 9\11, but your post was quite informative.

From your information I gather their are at least 50 to 70 cadets currently in training, n'est ce pas?

Two bits of news:

1. I heard today from a friend who works at BA (desk job) that BA have just employed a batch of trainee pilots as baggage handlers at LHR.

2. Anyone who was in the recruitment process (i.e awaiting test date, interview date, or medical date), we are not in any form of hold pool but have been scrapped and must re-apply when the scheme restarts.

splonguk is rite

when i phoned a couple of weeks ago, the lady said the same thing, u have to re apply again when the scheme starts regardless of what stage you were at.

intially when WTC happened, ba said that ur appl. is frozen and will unfreeze when the scheme reopens.

i guess they have chenged their minds.

The idea from the start was -if the freeze was short term applications would be held. If not, you would have to reapply. No changing of minds going on.
