Hour Building in US
Hey, im new to the forum!
Question;
- Where is the best place to hour build in the US?
- Im wanting to travel a bit around but where is the best location?
- Whats a nice route via a few airstrips? I would like to make 1 day trips
- Cheap school to rent an aircraft such as a C152?
Recommend anything to me ?

The best place in the US for hour building is not the US
I did all mine in Canada. Flew over a 150 hours there. C-152 / 72. They have all the aircraft an hour building pilot could need at very competitive prices without all the Visa needs! Depending on where your from?
Im British so getting into Canada to fly was brilliant. Good exchange rate, lots of things to do and places to see. Couldn't recommend the place more, its very very GA friendly.

FlyEASA, f.k.a Ormond Beach Aviation. Been a good while since I been so not sure what it is like these days. New name, management and fleet, so things may be a lot different to when I was there, maybe someone who's been there more recent can comment.
But it was a great area in which to hour build. Some great exciting places to go. But if you do, don't just nip up and down the coast - it's such a wasted oppertunity! Get out and explore Florida, some exciting places to go!

I did mine with Air Desert Pacific in LA. Did 200 hours in a month and negotiated a good deal for the hours (PA28-180). There are some really interesting places to fly in the western part of the states - Florida is just pretty boring (I've done both).

I can only comment on Florida regarding the US. However, always enjoyed flying there. If it's 150/152 you want, try Air America in Daytona. Done 50hrs with them a couple of years ago, nice little set up. Bit if you want to look at flying a 172, I absolutely highly recommend Sunstate Aviation out of Kissimmee. First class set up, great instructors and fantastic G1000 172's

SoCal, the gentleman asked if we can recommend anywhere. I have recommended Florida and the two good set-ups I have used. Unfortunately I can't assist him with advice on the other 49 states. I didn't realize that I'd be upsetting the US tourist board with my comments. So what is wrong anyway with following all the sheep? Tell me, you are stood outside two restaurants, one is busy and one is empty.....I know which one I'm going in!!

I received my commercial licence about 10 weeks ago. Now I'm looking on building 100hours in america. I have looked at quite a lot of places and came across Chandler air service in Arizona and NCB Aviation in Ohio. @felixflyer - I see you went to chandler air service. Can you recommend it to do hour building??
Is there other hour building schools someone can recommend??
And is there maybe anybody that wants to do hour building with me in Sept,Oct. I dont want to do it alone.
Cheers

I can definately recommend Chandler. Friendly instructors that are used to European pilots, good aircraft. Lots of destination options for good day trips and you can take the aircraft away if you want to do an overnight to LA or Vegas.
If you do go look for a place to stay on VRBO. I managed to get a 2 bed 2 bathroom apartment with pool for £300 a week near the airport which is cheaper that a hotel.
Regards
