Post where are the jobs

Gooday' I'm a Canadaian pilot with 1000 total time incl. 200 multi with my ATPL's written, an am having a terribly hard time finding employment. Many other Candaian pilots aare experiencing the same and all if not most have this same question- Does any one know how we could obtain the right to legally work in the USA with little or no pain. There was mention of a bill being passed (or in readings) which would allow us to obtain green cards without hassle. ANY INFO FROM ANYONE REGARDING THIS MATTER WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!

This is a frequent PPRuNe subject, unfortunately, unless you marry an American, it is very difficult for someone of non-hispanic European ancestry to obtain the right to work in the U.S.

If you crash a plane into waters off the Cuban shore, the U.S. Coast Guard will spend millions to come rescue you and take you to Florida. If you jump in the Rio Grande to illegally enter the U.S., the Border Patrol has a new program to save you if you can't swim (see http://www.ins.usdoj.gov/graphics/la...patrol/bsi.htm ). However, if you come to the U.S. without authorization to seek employment as a pilot, you will be arrested and deported.
