Lasors 2010

The CAA have just managed to issue LASORS 2010 before the end of the year.

Available online here

There are quite a few changes and 'clarifications'. The first thing that leapt out at me is that the UK CAA now say they will accept ATPL & CPL theoretical exam passes from any JAA State for the purpose of licence issue.

Hi Alex

You may remember me from the days I did my ATPL's with you- I happened to also be working at the CAA in PLD at the time.

Whether or not it was in Lasors before now, being able to accepts ATPL/CPL exams from another JAA member state has been accepted long before I left the CAA back in mid 2008......

Hope all is well

Converting UK national atpl into JAR-FCL

Hi Guys,

Holding a UK national ATPL (current) but the last LPC and IR on the B744 its more than 10 years ago(no current).
However I have been flying on an ICAO licence on the same type(B744) endorsed on my UK licence since then.

After completing the SRG1104 form, a valid Jar1 medical and payment do I need anything else?

Many thanks.

THE MONEY hahahaaah

SRG1187.

One thing - I would refer you to them as to whether you need a valid LPC on the UK system for them to issue the JAR ATPL licence.

I'm not so sure they can issue a JAR ATPL with no valid type rating on that actual licence (even if you're flying same type on ICAO licence, I'm not sure that counts for conversion to JAR. Its fine to renew JAR or renew UK ICAO ATPL- just not 100% on conversion). I can't remember its been a long time since I worked there and did it myself. But in all honesty, it takes 5 mins to check.

Just one more thing, the submission instructions on the last page of the SRG1104 tell you everything you need to supply to the CAA when using that application form.
