Hi there.
I started with GTS in the Summer. Have completed 2 modules of their distance learning CPL (6 exams in total, lowest score 90% and a couple of 100%, so I'm satisfied). I'm not particularly bright, work full time and have a modest amount of hours flying experience, so I reckon the course work must be pretty good! The instructors are EXTREMELY knowledgeable and friendly, and will help you out over the 'phone if necessary during your home studying. The groundschool training at Bournemouth Airport is held in comfortable, spacious premises, shared with PAT (one of the best commercial training organisations in the country) which adds to the energy and professionalism of the place without being a distraction. Overall I'd say the whole package is A1 - hard work, fun, and extremely rewarding. I am not in anyway affiliated with GTS except as a student (I've just taken delivery of my 3rd module course work and will be putting in some hours over Christmas) and I thoroughly recommend them.
Cheers, PP

Another vote for GTS
I found them very professional with excellent study guides, helpful telephone/e-mail support and brilliant groundschool.
I am the wrong side of 50 years, have a full time job, and managed to complete the 3 modules with first time passes in all subjects - do not underestimate the amount of studying required. GTS will not enter you for an exam unless you have an adequate score in their mock papers.
Think very carefully about taking CPL writtens - it will limit your options compared to taking the ATPL exams - I understand that there is not a lot of extra work involved.
PM me for any further infomation

I'm with CATS, halfway through. Mixed bag, PM me if you'd like more details.
I've visited PAT in Bournemouth where GTS are based. No personal experience but they seem a small and dedicated outfit who have been around a long time. I've yet to find anyone with a bad word to say about them.

Hi All,
Have been to GTS today in order to enroll upon their ATPL distance learning course! Had a very informative chat with Roger, top man, who knows his stuff. I am starting with Module 3 first and working backwards in order to meet the brush up courses where it will not take too long in order to complete the course.
First thoughts, good school, small classes, excellent price.
If anybody would like any more info. then please do PM.
Regards

Worked for me
Hi there. Used GTS a few years ago for my ATPL's and if they can get me through, they can get anyone through. Believe me.
First class tuition, first class instructors, and small class sizes (3 people on module 1).
I loved every minute of my time at Bournemouth, and look back on it as a very happy time. Two weeks per module during the height of summer, and hot hard work it was, but worth it as I'm now instructing on a CPL and it is great fun.
In the weekends (for a break) I visited the national motor museum and the beach at Boscombe.
Get yourself down there. You won't regret it.
Ps, watch out for PAT's sandwich eating dog.....DO NOT underestimate the dogs ability to get to your sarnies.
