ICAO IR expiring before I complete the JAA ATPL conversion. Please help.

Hi there,
Can anyone tell me the answer to this?

I am undertaking the JAA ATPL conversion from an ICAO CPL/IR. I have completed module one and am studying module two. The problem is my foreign IR will expire before I complete module two. The question is can I attach an IR to a JAA PPL with only module one complete so that I only have to do the 15 hour course rather than wait untill I complete module two when my IR has expired and have to do the full IR course?

Thanks
