JAA ATPL Credit Validity

Hi All,

may be this question already been covered in here, so sorry if I am duplicating.

Can anyone tell me how long are my ATPL JAA credits valid for. The industry seems to be in a accelerated spiral dive, and I am not rushing to complete my flying training at the moment, besides the costs of becoming an airline or freight pilot rise exponentially everyday, and wages and salaries are less then a minicab driver in London.

May be someone has any insight on this or just got into a job? As I can't see any point (except my passion for flying and a dream of being a pilot) to actually pay £60-80k+ for training, just to be paid a salary of a minicab driver…(or in some cases to pay an airline to work for them....)

Ganz.

Its all in LASORS.

Your ATPL exam credits are valid for 36 months from the date of the last pass in which time if you get both CPL and IR then they remain valid for 7 years from your last IR validity date.

Credits

Thank you, just wanted to clarify.

If I keep my IR current everything else stays current (fATPL) ???

Can I get away with a Single IR or does it have to be ME?

1. Guys, if you plan to be commercial pilots, start reading JAR-FCL-1/LASORS/any other rules by yourself.

2. There is no such thing as fATPL.

3. Nowhere in JAR-FCL-1 does it say you need a multi-engine IR(A) to extend the theory exams credit.
