ME IR AND MEP at the same time
Hi,
I'm due to start a MEIR conversion programme. I have NEVER flown a twin before but I do have a JAA CPL SEP and FAA IR SEP. The question now is: As I read the LASORS, I need to do 15hrs on a Twin (no FNPT). This will give me a MEIR including the MEP in these hours. Alternatively I can do a MEP and THEN do the IR but it seems to be a longer route
Can anyone comfirm this, since I want to make sure I understand the regs corretly?
Thanks in advance.

ME IR AND MEP at the same time
Hello PJATE1,
I was on the same situation a year ago. You need to check with your CAA. In my case (UK), told me that I had to do the ME course + converting my IR SE to IR ME (5 hrs). In total I've done 6 hrs A/c for ME + 3 Hrs a/c ME IR + 3 Hrs Sim for ME IR. I've also had to take two skills test.
Always check with your CAA, as your application can be refused.
Drop me PM if you need more info...
