Where now?
I've just finished Year 11, and next year in Year 12+13 I'll be studying A Levels in Media Studies, Physics, ICT and Economics (providing I get the grades, which I will!)
I would love to pursue a career in Aviation, I've had an interest in planes from a very young age, I go to the Air Cadets where I will be applying for my Glider's Scholarship then I'll be applying for my PPL. (Touch-wood I'll get them!)
I understand that pilot training is very costly, but are there any alternatives? Such as PPL/CPL Scholarships?
I had the RAF in mind, but I'm not too sure I would prefer this since I'm a more civil person than military even though I still love the military exercises with the Air Cadets.
At university, I'm not going to study any aviation-related subjects, so I would have a 'back-up' plan.
Any help please?!
Thanks in advance,
CocoCue

Look up GAPAN for scholarships.

Consider joining a civilian gliding club; typically there are very advantageous rates for youngsters, and they'll be more than happy to have enthusiastic young members. See British Gliding Association - UK Map
Consider getting a scholarship/bursary; see Junior Gliding

Try any of the GAPAN scholarships. Invariably there are plenty for young people to apply to, including a full ATPL scholarship (lots of competition but someone has to win).
