Choosing Commercial Flight Schools

Hello all,

I am currently a PPL student, looking for schools to begin (and complete!) a modular ATPL/CPL course with in the U.K.

I've been visiting several schools:
  • Bournemouth Commercial Flight Training
  • Oxford Aviation Academy
  • CTC Wings in Southampton
Obviously, I'm looking for the best flight school for me. One that will help me aquire a (good) job in the industry.

(Before someone starts slamming me, I am aware there is a very large subjective element to what 'the best' is. However I will not be providing a personal profile etcetcetc......)

So: A couple of general questions:
  • Large or small schools?
  • Is it worth trying to complete training in the UK weatherwise?
  • What pros and cons should I look out for in these schools?
I'd be really gratefull to hear personal experiences/opinions of current students, ex-students/graduates, instructors and whoever else has a justified, well reasoned, courteous and respectful opinion.

(Sorry, that was a bit long)

Cheers everyone!
