USA/Canada FI and Visa.

Hey guys. I have a FAA CPL IR ME and SE as well as a JAA fATPL IR. Im considering going to the States or Canada to do my CFI and CFII. What I want to know is..... Is there a way to stay and work after completion of the rating?? I have heard about the F-1 visa but im unsure about its restrictions. I also see the J-1 visa for flight training ends in June of this year.
Any information is appreciated.

You will struggle to find jobs in the US at the moment as their route to ATP is normally via CFI therefore in times of need most US pilots revert to instructing . I tried this last year August nothing ... nada .... zip
