Devil CRP5

Hi all, I remember few comments here on pprune about need for crp5 after atpl exams.
Most of them suggested that you do not need crp5 for anything else then for exams and most of peeps ditch it after completion of GNAV and FP exam.
Is it not needed for CPL/IR or for type rating?

cheers F

Not needed, but since you go to all that trouble to learn how to use it, why not keep it? It doesn't use batteries.

You will need it for fright planning - for the wind/track calculations at least.

If you are hell bent on losing it, I sold a spare (and fairly ropey) one for £50 on eBay.
