3 hours sim session

Are there any legal support oa 3 hour session in lieu of 4 hour session?
A training program shows several sessions with 3 hour and a south american country authority says : this does not exixt. Only 4 hour session is aceptable!
Thanks!!

There is, AFAIK, no legal minimum time limit on a simulator session. As a general rule in MP aeroplanes, sessions where a crew is training together tend to be 4 hours whereas sessions where an individual is training with, say, an instructor in the other seat tend to be 3 hours, but this is by no means always the case and is not mandatory.

However, the Authority that is going to issue the rating is entitled to place any restriction it likes on the training and if it says that only 4 hour sessions are acceptable, there's little you can do about it.
