Degree vs Type rating
Hi Guys.
Just came across an article in an aviation magazine concerning a degree offered for professional pilots. Now with the current climate in the industry I'm considering the option of boosting my career. I've thought about a type rating but very skeptical about its advantages in finding a job without time on type. Now I'm toying with the idea of doing a degree in Airline Transport Operation, found a couple places that offer the degree, London city Uni and Waterford Institute.
Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestion on it. Would it be more beneficial to do a degree or a type rating to help advance my career as a pilot.

Personally, I'd go for the degree...multiple ratings won't help if you lose your medical, or, of course, when you get sick of (from?) living out of your suitcase...thinking about doing the same thing myself, but am thinking more of a degree that's not to do with aviation - not directly, anyway...
good luck with whatever you choose!
