I have worked flipping hard since i have left school, saved every penny, now in a position to pay for all my training, and still leaves me with enough money for a type rating, or a deposit on a house,
Hope this helps.

Mightyducks im telling porkies,
I have been working since 16, living at home with mummy and daddy, it wasnt a good job, Scaffolding on off shore oil rigs, 12 hour shifts, two weeks on, two weeks off! on my two weeks off worked on a civil scaffolding firm owned by my uncle,
You do the math
just say i earnt 30k a year saved half, over 4-5 years= my flight training,
No debt, (i payed my debt working and getting treated like a dog)

Yes, get a job, work hard, if lucky you can live somewhere cheap, or do as flyvirgin!!!
Get a loan? Bad idea, unless you like to die of stress before you get 30. Go modular, step by step, you have plenty of time. At least this way you will find out if this is really what you want to do too!
Best thing, this advice is free!
