Best route to take to getting licence

i am17 and an currently studying my a levals at 6th form. It has allways been my dream to become a pilot and since reaserching the subject a lot i am baffled by the confusing imformation available on most websites.

so i was wandering what is the best way to gain my commercial pilots licence and forfill my dream ?

get a degree in something other than aviation first, or concurrently, along with your flight training.
