Does anyone know how stable both Flight Academy and HGFC will be in the next few months? I guess that's a tough one to answer.

I see with FA the sim training of the IR needs to be done at Blackpool which is a bit of a shame.

Any news to when either of these will be online?
Cheers

I'd guess that Flight Academy will base their operation on Flight Academy Blackpool, who seem to have managed pretty well for the last few years. Certainly hope there's some stability at the Green, I need a MEP reval soon...

Does anyone have any idea what's happening with hgfc at the moment?

The following has been on their website for almost two months:

"As previously announced Halfpenny Green Flight Centre Limited ceased trading last Friday 5th February 2010. The good news is that Jetstream Executive has decided to set up a new operation at the airport and will be announcing the start of flight training from Halfpenny Green Airport within the next week."

It looks like it would be really nice to fly there and they would have great equipment but it's quite worrying when they don't reply to emails and don't update their website.

Now that they are up and running has anyone started their training there?

Not sure a PA38 and ex-Cabair PA28 necessarily fit that bill, much as I like the PA38 as a trainer. I also hear they're struggling to find full time instructors. However, that's enough of the airfield scuttlebutt - it's still looking like a good airfield to train from, and one I'm happy to use fairly often with my own aircraft!
