Hi All,

I'm planning on getting myself to a level where i can start applying for FO jobs in Ireland and the UK. My training route so far looks like this:

JAA PPL - OBA
ATPL and exams - Bristol GS
100hr Building USA & Ireland
JAA CPL - USA OBA
JAA Multi IR - USA OBA
MCC - Dublin

So far this comes to €53k inc 25% coningency accom. & flights

then Apply to airline

& do Type rating...

Is there any thing i'm missing or is there courses in there that i don't need?

any particular reason not to use OBA?

Have a look at EFT. I was in the fortunate position to be able to visit both schools before deciding and i would choose EFT every time.
From what i have read about OBA im glad i didnt go to them.
OBA may seem cheap but EFT are only about $200 more and have a better reputation. (i did my ppl at EFT last year)

One slight flaw in your plan, you can't do a JAA MEIR in the USA, You would have to do an FAA one and then convert back here in europe.

Most JAA American schools follow the JAA syllabus. You can do all of the training for the IR in the states but you have to do the skills test in the UK. You don't necessarily need to do an FAA license and convert it.

Stay away from OBA or increase your budget and time allowance
