ICAO license requirements

Does somebody has the requirement for an ICAO license?

The requirements are in Annex 1 which you have to buy on the ICAO website. However does somebody has the requirements for license issue and is willing to post them?

Heard somewhere that one of the requirements is 250 hours PIC (not P1 u/s).

I know that ICAO doesn't issue licenses itself but a friend with an ATPL got turned down for a job. Would like to know the differences between an JAR ATPL and an ICAO ATPL. As that was the reason the agency gave.

Thanks.

An ICAO licence is one issued by any ICAO Member State (which is pretty much most countries) - therefore, we would need to know which country's licence your friend hold. And which licence. And, indeed, what the original job ad specified.

Cheers

Whirls,

Thanks for your reply. Friend holds a normal JAR ATPL so should not be a problem.

Found a reference to Annex 1 and it says 250 hours PIC OR 70 hours PIC with the additional time made up by PIC under supervision.

Questions have been sent towards the agency. Either they have misread the requirements or they require 250 hours PIC but that is not in the advert. It only says an ICAO ATPL which he has.

From Annex 1 ICAO

Commercial Pilot Licence

2.4.3.1.1 200 hrs flight time or 150 hrs if completed during a course of approved training as pilot of aroplanes.

ATPL

2.6.3.1.1 1500 hrs as a pilot of aeroplanes (no more that 100 hrs sim time included in the total time)

2.6.3.1.1.1
- 500 hrs as PICUS or 250 hrs a PIC or 70 hrs PIC and 180 hrs PICUS
- 200 hrs cross country flight time (not less than 100 hrs as PIC or PICUS)
- 75 hrs instrument time (no more than 30 hrs as instrument ground time)
- 100 hrs of night flight as PIC or CO-PILOT

I hope it helped...!
