CASA licensing and example IREX questions
I m going to convert my ICAO license to CASA.
Do I need to get the security ID ASICs (Aviation Security Identification Cards) or AVIDs (Aviation Identification) before I can do license conversion in Australia?
and Where can I find sources for IREX questions and answers??

Civil Aviation Safety Authority - Your ASIC questions answered
At a minimum, all pilots 18 or over must undergo the background checks for an AVID. Only those pilots who require access to a secure area of a security controlled airport will need to undergo the more robust background checks for an ASIC.
Are pilots still allowed to fly without an ASIC? Yes. Pilots only need to have submitted an application for an AVID or an ASIC to operate an aircraft. The application will be processed and appropriate background checks undertaken prior to the AVID or ASIC being issued to an eligible pilot.

Me again. There're free sample questions on CASA's website (no answers though) but ignore them at your peril ...
