CTC wings mathematic, quick question.
Hello pilots
I am preparing for the CTC wings phase 2.
My primary question is:
I would like to know if you are allowed to use pen and paper to do the mathematic calculation or whether it's pure mental arithmetic?
Can you give any examples?
Do you have any recommendation regarding the preparation for the mathematic part?
Other inputs are welcome.
I have been searching the forum without any luck on this subject.
Thank you
Kind regards
Michael

I'm fairly sure you can use pen and paper. You definitely could when I did it in 08.
I think they've moved the maths on to a computer system since then but I don't see why they'd not allow you to jot things down still.

hi
when i went to the oxford aviation seminar
i remember the speaker mentioning they supply you with pen and paper
not all questions require you to use your supplies
youd have to do some off your head though
GOOD LUCK!!!

Mental Math
For selection test order the Oxford Math/Physics-GCSE-Training-Kit and exercise long multiplication and division using the Trachtenberg speed mental math method.
For later exams you'll be needing "Mental Math for Pilots" by Ronald D. McElroy.
Try not to use paper and pen even they are provided.
Good luck!
