Can a PPL grant you access?

Hey ppl,

Am soon to take a trial lesson in the hope it'll be something I want and can do, so we all know the PPL is the first port of call on the road to a flying career.

So seeing as am a 'flying for idiots' type am just wondering does anyone know if say you acquire a PPL even would it give you the opportunity to emigrate to another country to look for work as an instructor meaning something similiar to a degree in college or as a qualified apprentice as a electrician, mechanic or whatever the case may be, you hear me though? Appreciate if you could throw any light on this.

Thanks,
Francie

You can only emigrate and work in another country if you have the right to. If you're an Irish national, you can only work in Europe.

In order to work as an instructor and earn money, you'll need a commercial licence and an instructor rating on top of the PPL.

A PPL is unlikely to be particularly helpful in finding work in other fields.

Sorry, it's not what you want to hear.

Cheers
