To get Instructor rating in the UK, would you need UK Class 1?

And would one be able to work in the UK as instructor with a foreign nationals class 1 (JAA) medical?

I know it should be a straight forward case in normal circumstances, but my circumstances are not normal, as I have 2 disagreeing CAA's.

However from what I do understand ratings are not the same as CPL, however would I be able work as an instructor without changing my class 1 medical from Denmark?
