When I was going to flight school I heard the same things, go to a large and well known school and you will have an easier time getting jobs. Well I didn't go mostly because of my financial situation at the time so I had to go to local FBOs to get my licences. But after 13 years in this business what I can tell you is that nomatter where you get your licence(with very few exceptions) what matters in the end is how well you learned your stuff. It shouldn't matter where you get your IR rating as long as you fly IFR. Nobody ever asked me in interviews where I got my flight training at. Just my .2 cents.
