Just wondering where in the UK and Ireland is it possible to attain a first class aviation medical and has anyone got any contact details for these establishments? Also does anyone know off-hand if my FAA first class medical will be sufficient to hire a plane for a pleasure flight in the UK? It expires in November. I know I can fly on my FAA CMEL licence but I was unsure if my FAA medical would be accepted. Thanks

for a UK 1st class, the first one you ever do has to be done down at gatwick: CAA HQ.

once that is done, you can renew it with any AME. CAA website has them all listed ont he site.

You can get a class 1 medical in the Mater Private hospital in Dublin
