International student career training, is that true?

Hello,

Few days ago I sent an email to a flight school in order to get more information regarding my limitations as an international student, my plan is to fly over Florida, to study in a college and at the same time to obtain my pilot licenses, below is the aswer I got from the flight school:

"When it comes to career training, you would have to be in the country on an M1 training visa – this would permit you to begin flight training, but would not allow you to be at school. You cannot be in the country pursuing a college education while pursuing professional pilot education at the same time. If your college has an aviation program, then that could work. Otherwise, we would be limited in only providing your private and instrument education."

Is that true??

Thank you,
Roy.
